We are sorry to announce that we are not operating any of our guided events or classes. We hope to resume in the spring of 2009. Backpacking:
Suggested / Required gear for backpacking trips... Backpack. (Provided) Small tent. (Provided) Sleeping pad. (Provided) Sleeping bag. (Provided) Dinner / Brkfst. (Provided) Put all cloths that you are not wearing for the
first days hike, in a plastic garbage bag. 1 - Rain jacket (disposable plastic rain ponchos
will be provided free of charge if you 1 - Hiking boots or sturdy sneakers. (boots preferred) 1 - Shorts. (nylon swimming shorts work great) 2 - T shirts. (One you are wearing plus one extra. Try to avoid 100% cotton) 1 - Long sleeve shirt (like fleece or thermal underwear) 1 - Long pants. (Very thin, light, nylon exercise pants are perfect) 1 - Long underwear pants. (fall / winter trips only) 1 - Jacket . (Light jacket for summer trips, Insulated for fall / winter trips) 1 - Pair of gloves (depending on expected temperatures) 1 - Pair of skivvies. (Ones you are wearing plus one extra pair) 2 - Socks. (Ones you are wearing plus one extra pair. Try to avoid 100% cotton) 1 - Small flash light or headlamp 1 - Toiletries ( small amount of TP in a ziploc bag, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste) 1 - Small Personal first aid kit for blisters, headache etc. 2 - Snacks. (Cereal bars, Power bars, Slim Jim, granola, M/M's ect.) Ziploc bag for your trash. You carry it in, you carry it out. Bear spray (lots of it, you will need it). Note:
bring extra bandages if you don't have What not to bring. Saw / ax. Day Hiking: Get away for the day on one of our scenic day hikes. Stroll along the trail past a picturesque waterfall, or enjoy the winter views from the summit of a north Georgia Mountain. This can be a family affair. Trail lunch is provided. We also offer custom trips to a falls or along a trail section that you request. $40.00 per person. Includes trail lunch.
All events require a $10.00 deposit at least 10 days prior to the event start date.
